Garney Construction

Kisma Stephenson is the Total Rewards Manager at Garney Construction, based in Kansas City, Missouri. She joined Garney in February 2024, bringing over 15 years of experience in employee benefits and total rewards strategy.

Kisma has a proven track record in leading and optimizing total rewards programs, with expertise across all facets of benefits strategy and execution. Her experience includes strategic plan design, program benchmarking, regulatory compliance, cost forecasting, vendor evaluation and negotiation, project management, and end-to-end implementation of health and welfare, retirement, and ancillary benefit programs.

Before joining Garney, Kisma held a benefits management role at a major retail organization in the Atlanta area, and previously worked at Aon, where she advised clients on optimizing their benefits programs.

Kisma earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Clark Atlanta University. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
