Director of Sustainability and Utilities

Cortland Investment Management, LLC

Yasha Chaturvedi is a senior executive at the intersection of engineering, sustainability, and leadership equity, currently serving as Director of Sustainability and Utilities at Cortland Investment Management. As a woman leading in highly technical and traditionally underrepresented fields, she champions inclusive leadership by aligning people, strategy, and purpose across a global real estate portfolio.

With a background in electrical engineering and a Master’s from Syracuse University, Yasha combines technical acumen with a passion for mentorship, systems thinking, and long-term impact. Her role extends beyond sustainability—she is a visible advocate for empowering women in the workplace, creating pathways for diverse voices to lead bold, transformative change.

Named one of the Women in Commercial Real Estate by the New York Real Estate Journal, Yasha actively mentors emerging professionals and promotes leadership models rooted in collaboration and authenticity. She believes true progress lies in elevating women at every level—not just to fill seats at the table, but to help redesign the table entirely.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that when women lead with clarity, courage, and conviction, they don’t just improve organizations—they reshape industries.
